Live for the Challenge!

I just had to partake in this weeks Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger, how could I not be inspired by these gorgeous colours and funky birds!  I stepped it up a little by joining up with the current Retro sketches challenge, another fab  design this week….  maybe sketches aren’t scaring me as much as they used to, I might be onto a good thing here!

Anyhoo, hope you’re having a great weekend, I’m off to Brisbane for a conference tomorrow and looking forward to a little shopping and eating…   (and of course the conference is in there somewhere too)  Love it!

What a Pear!

This is such a  fab set of stamps from Basic Grey that I thought I may as well use one of their paper pads to co-ordinate with it.  These colours are just great – a little different to my usual style (it’s good to do the spread wing thing).    I was lucky enough to have these cards accepted by the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine.    It was such a fun set to make – I hope you like them.

Stampers Challenge Inkadinkado – Mehindi Border!

Okay, so I’m here at the beach & loving it!  Not much card making happening though so I thought it was a good time to share another publication.  Here is another Stamper’s challenge from the Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft Magazine.  I was given this awesome Inkadinkado Mehndi Border stamp set and was instructed to make 2 cards!  Super easy with such wonderful images to choose from.  Hope you like the results!

Perky Plants!

If you haven’t seen much of me at the moment it’s because I’m working night duty and tend to go a little underground.  It’s hard to be enthused when I’m sooo tired.  But I’m nearly finished and then I have a week’s holiday at the beach, I have massive plans to do ‘not much at all’!

I thought I would share with you these cards that were accepted by the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine, ’Grow Giggles’ even hit the front cover (yippeee)!   I had a play with my Paper Smooches ‘Perky Plants’ and I think they are ultra cool!  I just kept finding more stamps and before I knew it I had 4 cards… uber cool!   Thanks for visiting me today…..   I’m heading off to sleep now.

Enjoy the Ride… double the challenge!

I wanted to make a card for ‘fun’!  So I just checked out a couple of my fave challenges and combined them to create this.  CAS-ual Fridays is having an ‘On the Red Carpet’ challenge where one of my best blog friends is the Guest Designer, Go team Marion!  My card was inspired by ‘Herbie’ (The Lovebug), he was such a hero in our house that we had a pet galah named after him when we were kids!  I couldn’t resist joining Less Is More this week to celebrate their 1st birthday, what a fantastic challenge site Chrissie and Mandi have created, thank you for all your hard work over the past year.  This week it’s a colour challenge and it’s Aqua!

This is a set of cards that I recently had published in the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft Magazine.  I have used this PTI set over and over and over, it is ab fab!
It’s another ‘rainy’ ride to work for me  today, definitely a stay at home movie day if there was a choice!  It hasn’t stopped…. some areas here have had over 8″ in the last day or so, no wonder it’s flooding!

Card Class – Day 3!

Before I start I would just like to thank everybody for their lovely comments on my first video tutorial yesterday.  Gotta love those steep learning curves, and this was definitely one of those, but was heaps of fun all the same!

Another amazing class, I’m loving the inspiration and it’s such a buzz meeting all my wonderful new blog friends!   After watching Jennifer McGuire’s class I made this monochromatic ‘built up’ die cut card using this gorgeous rickrack die from PTI, dontcha just adore it!  I thought I would ‘keep it simple’, isn’t that what this is all about.  Anyhoo, this is the perfect opportunity to join the Die Cutting Challenge in the Moxie Fab World!  They have the best ‘Cool Tools’ challenges happening at the moment.  ETA – I would also like to enter this weeks Make It Monday Challenge over at Papertrey Ink which is to create a background using border dies…  perfect!

Don’t go too far though, I’ll be back in just a short while with the AnnaBelle Stamps Friday post and there are ‘sneak peeks’ involved, ready for the big release day tomorrow!  Hope your day is turning out  as great as mine!

Joy – Wreath ***

This is one of my favorite Xmas stamps, and I just love the idea of purple and white for a Xmas card!  These cards were also published in the September edition of the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine.   The aim was to create two versions of the same card, I really like how they both turned out, although my fave would probably be the simple version…   of course! (my apologies but the photos are quite dark)
