You Make me Smile!

Just a quick post today to join Lawnscaping’s current challenge… Colouring!  I love to colour and I find it a great way to relax.  I’ve had the acetate out again, oh and you may just see a sneak peek of that awesome bg set….    again.  Simon Says Stamp has challenged us to ‘Use Your Favourite Tool’, well that’s super easy, mine would have to be my Fiskars Stamp Press – it makes background stamping a breeze, especially when I’ve mixed 2 stamps to do this one   Doesn’t it look divine in hot pink and orange!  Anyway gotta go, we are heading to visit a friend in the country today, hope the roads aren’t too busy near Byron Bay today, the Blues Festival is on!

Just a (Bright Pink) Note!

I have a crafting day planned today and I always have these unrealistic goals that I will get this and that done for sure….   anyway so I’ve ignored everything I should be doing and made a card just for fun.  Who wouldn’t be inspired by Gayatri’s fabulous creations and now she has linked up an inspriation photo which is totally divine!  I was also lucky enough to win this fabulous stamp set at Lawnscaping recently and just couldn’t wait to ink it up, perfect timing for their current challenge Inspired by a fellow crafter!

Pardon the Pun!  This is another card published recently in the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine for Valentines Day.   How totally cute is this sheep from the Lawn Fawn ‘Critters on the Farm’ set, I couldn’t resist!  Just thought I would pop in and say a quick hello (while I’m on holidays) and let you know that I will be back on Tuesday with a video tutorial for AnnaBelle Stamps Topical Tuesdays, look forward to seeing you again real soon!

The Birthday Cow?

I’ve been diligently making my husbands’ birthday card…  and hiding it everytime he walks near, that’s when the kitten isn’t walking over my papers, or lying directly in the middle of my workspace or playing with my pens…  times sure are funny!

I decided to play with a couple of challenges, I was inspired by the current ‘Distress Mania’ at Lawnscaping Challenges and then I made a ‘simpler’ (I think I just made up this word) version for the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays ‘Jest for the Pun of it’!  Kathy from the The Daily Marker has this awesome tutorial on how to make a ‘moon’ using copics, I used distress inks for mine combined with copics, thanks for the fantastic lesson Kathy!

Christmas Sheep?

Who says sheep can’t be Christmassy…   well, this one is!  I have been wanting to join in at Lawnscaping Challenges (but sadly haven’t had time…  I’ve been watching though), anyway this week it’s a Tag challenge and I needed some tags, at Christmas, I know it’s hard to believe and now I’m wondering why I didn’t start making them earlier…   oh yes, I’m going to do that next year (aren’t I)!  I’m also going to enter Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes, because as it says…  Anything Goes!  For this tag I was inspired by a very talented paper crafter Annette over at My Clever Creations, Thanks heaps!  ps. I moved back into my craft room today…  and I am definitely doing my happy dance, it comes with new paint and a light directly above my desk, yipppeeee….   funny how it’s the small things that make us happy!!

ETA: A kind friend told me about the Color Q Challenge and recommended that I should join in with them as this tag, fits the bill.  I haven’t played with them before, but am really inspired by their color palettes, they are totally awesome!

Get Well Challenge

I’ve been here, I promise, just busy making cards that I can’t share…   yet!  So here is one that I made ‘just for fun’.  Who can resist a Polka Dot Pig?  And just in time for the challenge at Less Is More, and there is paper piecing, oh, look at that, it’ll make it into the Lawnscaping Paper Piecing Challenge.  But what?  there’s more you say…  the colours, yes they do fit into this weeks colour challenge at Annabelle Stamps….  and was it planned you ask…  well….. maybe?
