Welcome!

Here is a card I made for a friend who recently had her first grandson.  I used the inspiration from the current Paper Smooches SPARKS I couldn’t decide what to make until I saw this fab photo… then it all just came together.   I also couldn’t resist joining in the Gingham Challenge in the Moxie Fab World…  who doesn’t love gingham at the moment!  Hope you’re having a great day, I’m off to work shortly…

So once I had the ‘Plus One’ set out from Lawn Fawn I couldn’t help myself but make another card for the Winter CHA Challenge!  I really do love this set, it is awesome fun and I use it for so many other things than ‘baby’ cards,  but hey…   this is a baby card!    I would also like to join in the NEW Something Challenge at Simon Says Stamp, this is perfect…. for a NEW baby!  Thanks for looking, and I hope you return tomorrow as I have some BIG news to share….

It’s a Girl!

Here is a card I created for the Lawn Fawn Winter CHA Challenge.  ’Plus One’ is probably one of my most fave Lawn Fawn sets so I couldn’t resist!  I had a picture in my head….   and the card is totally different, go figure!!

Baby Girl

This another card I made a tutorial for at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog.  I’ve been having just too much fun with this tag and stamp set from My Favourite Things.  I also have some wonderful new cloud dies and have put them to good use to create the background using chalk.  I totally love this effect, and if you’ve been here before then you know that I’m telling the truth.  It was also super easy to create the ‘baby girl’ border sentiment using the Compact Fiskars Stamp Press, because it has a grid on it and is see through!   As usual I have linked all of my supplies below or you can just head direct to Scrapbook Boutique and have a look for yourself!  Anyway, here is the card…

Congrats Grandma!

I was asked to make a ‘Congrats New Grandma’ card.  I wanted it to be pretty and thought the colours from the current Embellish Magazine Patterned Paper Color Trends Challenge would be just perfect!  I struggled a little with this card and originally had plans to join CASE this week, but of course ‘the procrastinator’ returned and I missed the deadline…    and I really have been so much more decisive lately, or have I? (LOL)

Another Shower!

I’ve been thinking about this weeks Tuesday Trigger – Perty & Flirty…    and and in the end decided I would include the background as well as that gorgeous yellow!  I have another baby shower this Friday (hope it’s not conatagious) and ‘it’s a girl’, so it had to be pink!  I am really making the most of my wonderful ‘Plus One’ set, maybe I need some more Lawn Fawn stamps….  mmmmmm.   This card made me want one of those QuicKutz – Quickstick pens, all those small flowers…  needless to say I had glue everywhere!

Welcome Mitchell

This is an order for a new proud grandmother.  I stayed with the traditional baby blue colours and kept it pretty using the Lawn Fawn – Plus One stamps.  The Less is More Challenge this week invites us to use ‘shades of blue’… I say that is a ‘built in recipe’ for a baby boy card!

I have been moving stamps around this card for a while now and decided finally…  just to make it!  This is based on the current sketch from Lawnscaping challenge, and is also heading it’s way to the Beautiful Borders Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  If you use your imagination you may just be able to see the curtain in the window…   well kind of!

It’s a girl!

Well… at least my giraffe is a girl, you can tell because she is pretty in pink, ‘sweet blush’ to be exact!  I needed to make something ‘cute’, and this is what I came up with when I combined a couple of my favourite challenges.  Heather has another Totally Hues Challenge and Scrapbook Boutique would like some stitching.  Have I told you that I used to ‘cross stitch’, there is a limit though, of just how much stuff you can hang on your walls or give away!  But as a consequence I now have every DMC colour and will never run out in my lifetime.  It is weird though, I would think nothing of sewing for hours and now I struggle just to add 3 stitches to a card, go figure.    So here it is…  hope you like it!

It’s a boy!

I’ve been thinking about ’tissue paper’ for a while now…   well at least since Moxie Fab put out a new challenge.  It’s called the Tissue Paper Magic Challenge in the Moxie Fab World!   I was  wondering what I could do & then my workmate had a baby boy (2 days after the baby shower…),  and what with my new Lawn Fawn stamps  I just added tissue paper &  it  all came together.  I had so much fun making this card, I was aiming for something a little prettier, but as usual CAS won out.  I was inspired by this wonderful card by Odette!  My apologies that the photo is a little dark, but I have plans to fix this…   I am going to make my own light box (if that doesn’t work, it’s a new camera)!  I am also entering this card into the current Lawnscaping Challenge ‘Let’s Party’… thank you Christiana!
